Today I showed my project at college to the rest of the students and our tutor. I got some valuable critique concerning things I could improve but I also received lots of positive feedback, so I’m quite pleased. I was assigned project no. 2 today which I will have to finish by November 7. It’s a very interesting theme and I got really excited at first, but now my head is just all over the place so I’m having a hard time to choose which direction I should go…
The project is to investigate light, both natural and artificial, and to experiment with different light sources like window light, studio lights, flashguns, light bulbs, candles etc. My ideas started circling around doing something with shadows and silhouettes and I started researching other photographers’ work for inspiration. I just ended up even more confused because now I have too many ideas… And also, today I got the November issue of the magazine Digital SLR Photography which gave me lots of additional ideas. I need to sleep on all of this and maybe it will be a bit clearer tomorrow…
