Italy

Back in December, me and my fiancé decided to book a long weekend somewhere in Europe. We discussed what cities we wanted to visit and agreed that Rome would be an interesting place to see. We’re both food lovers and lack exceptionally good pizza restaurants here in Edinburgh, so this was definitely on our to-do (to-eat?) list during our stay. Cameras at the ready, we explored Rome pretty much solely by foot and snapped away for a few days. The pizza was magnificent, the wine was divine and the architecture was even more impressive than in Scotland’s capital.

We also stayed one night in Latina, about an hour’s drive south of Rome, visiting a friend. In the morning before heading to the airport, we took a stroll on their farm and said hello to all their animals. I didn’t realise you could keep peacocks as pets, but I guess you learn something new everyday!
